Back for a 6th year, the Kubix Pop & Dance Extravaganza is back on Saturday 13th July 2024 in Herrington Park

Three stages –
More music, and more choice on the biggest one-day festival in the North East!

Kubix Rock has been relaunched on 20th July 2024 as our brilliant new Monument Festival – see the website for full details.

The views across Herrington Park will be dominated by a massive outdoor stage, a huge big top second stage, and a food and drinks village, with a large number of bars and food vendors, plus rides and activities, to cater for all needs. With big stages, video screens and a spectacular production planned, it’s going to be something very special.
As one of the North East’s biggest festivals, it’s going to look, sound and feel very special.

Kubix Festival began as an effort by a group of local North East promoters to deliver first class quality entertainment by sensational recording artists, at a price that won’t hurt your pocket!  We’re fans ourselves and want to see live music remain as accessible as possible to all fans, which is why we continue to keep our prices so reasonable for such brilliant line-ups! 2024 is no different and will be bigger and better, but still fantastic value.

After a brilliant 2023 we’re back for a 6th year in 2024 and it’ll be even better in 2024.

Kubix Rock has been relaunched on 20th July 2024 as our brilliant new Monument Festival – see the website for full details.

There will be lots of bars, with much more choice of drinks next year, a wider range of food options, including vegetarian, vegan and more specialist caterers, plus a funfair and lots of extra activities coming – for adults and kids alike.

Parking is FREE and available within Herrington Country Park.  On your arrival, our Stewards will direct you to the appropriate parking area which includes disabled parking (VIP Guests will have access to a separate parking area even closer to the event).

Shuttle bus services will be improved next year with more buses delivering you to the door of the event.  A small charge will be made to cover the costs of this service, but again, we’ve kept it to an absolute minimum!

There will be a huge outdoor main stage with the most spectacular production yet, planned, and a big second stage in a huge big top and a new extra third stage, giving you even more choice. It will have a few surprises each day with bands, DJs and artists you’ve maybe never seen, but now’s your chance.

There’s a camping option for the day of each festival, offering a dedicated camp site next door to the music arena, with Camping tickets offering you the chance to stay and party on the Saturday nights, and not worry about how to get home at night!

It’s all here for you at Kubix’s day of incredible live music!

The gate opening times are:

SATURDAY 13TH JULY 2024 – 11.00am (next year’s Kubix Pop Festival)

SATURDAY 20th JULY 2024 – 11.00am (Monument Festival – see Monument Festival website for full details)

Shuttle bus pick up times will ensure you arrive each day well before the music starts and they will return to the same pick up/drop off points after the music finishes each night. Car Parks will open 30 mins before the gate opening times.

The Event will finish around 10.50pm on each day and shuttle buses will wait until everyone who’s booked a bus ticket has boarded for the return trip.

It is very important to the organisers, that we ensure that the event is accessible as possible, to everyone, and all aspects of accessibility are reviewed regularly, to ensure improvements can be made, where required, on an ongoing basis. This includes the availability of accessible disabled parking, wheelchair access and disabled toilets in a secure stewarded area, a wheelchair viewing platform for the main stage and a festival site that utilises hard standing routes, where practicable, to make the event as accessible as possible for wheelchair users.

We strive to do all we can to make Kubix Festival as accessible as possible. As with any outdoor event, weather conditions and uneven ground in parts, on a grassed site, need to be taken into consideration, when using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and for wet weather conditions, suitable clothing, footwear, etc, is recommended.

There will also be a dedicated main stage viewing area for wheelchair users to view the event, though it does have a limited capacity and will be on a first come, first served basis, exclusively for wheelchair users and one companion.

To obtain access to these facilities, you will need to contact our team via the Contact Page to ask for an Accessibility Questionnaire which is used to help determine exactly which areas are needed to enhance your experience.

Any person with additional needs who requires a free ticket for a carer or assistant, can email Kubix Festival via our Contact Page or at info@kubixfestival.co.uk where we will make provision for this directly.

You can expect a great variety of cuisine, such as pizza, burgers, hot dogs, curry, noodles, jacket potatoes, fish and chips, wraps and much more, plus all the sweet things you can think of from ice cream to milk shakes, all at very reasonable prices.

We’ve decided to increase the number of caterers further for 2023 so there will be a much greater variety of British and World foods available at Kubix to ensure there is something available for everyone.

There will be a number of Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-free choices available.

Not all dishes served by caterers will be suitable for specific dietary requirements, so please check to see what options are available.

Each attendee can bring a small bottle of water or soft drink up to 500ml, if it remains sealed, as bought.  Free drinking water will be available at points throughout the festival, so you can bring an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle to the event for water refills. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event.

Any person with specific dietary requirements can inform us in advance and where suitable options aren’t available on site, we will give dispensation to bring suitable food to the event. Please email us via our Contact Page if you have specific dietary requirements.  Small personal picnics are also permitted into the event, upon arrival, but no metal/glass utensils or cool boxes, for safety and security reasons. Further take away food cannot be brought in during the event.  We will have a wide choice of caterers who will be very reasonably priced.

Please note, to allow time for security bag searches, we are operating a ‘no big bags policy’, so no large rucksacks or bags, are permitted. Only small rucksacks/bags with length/width dimensions no larger than a piece of A4 paper, can be brought into the music arena.

All camp sites will have drinking water supply, 24/7 security, toilets and ELSAN waste disposal. Click on the site map at the top of this page, showing the camping site locations.

There will be a Disabled Camping Section close to the music arena for ease of access, clearly signposted on the weekend. This needs booking in advance when you use the contact us page to apply for the disabled access.

There will be a quiet family area of the camp site located further away from the music arena. This section does not have to be pre-booked and you can choose to pitch up in this area when you arrive. The stewards will direct you to this area.

Campers can bring personal food and drink onto the site for consumption by campers, in the camp site only.

Free drinking water will be provided so you can bring in an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle for refills.

NO GLASS or metal utensils are allowed anywhere on site due to Health & Safety restrictions.

We want people to enjoy their time at the festival to the fullest, and that means great camping facilities, but we must balance this against safety requirements and good practice.  To that end, our advice on BBQs, Camping Stoves and Fires is set out below:

  • Open fires are permitted only in fireproof containers clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
  • BBQs are permitted only when clearly raised from the ground (fire pits etc) and should only be used when supervised by persons sober and sensible.
  • Camping Stoves are permitted, and we wholeheartedly encourage people to use either solid or liquid fuelled options which are not only much safer but more environmentally friendly too.
  • If you use a gas canister supplied stove (butane etc) please ensure that you bring only the minimum amount of gas required for your stay and both always use and store these items appropriately.
  • All fires / stoves must always be used an appropriate distance from any tents.  At least 1m is essential and over 2m for any form of open fire or BBQ.
  • Security will prevent any improper use of fires, BBQs or stoves and person who fail to follow these basic safety steps risk their items being seized and/or being ejected from the Festival.

Please enjoy, but do so sensibly and safely, thank you.

Camping pitches will be filled sequentially on arrival, so you will be directed to the correct camp site for your camping pitch, by stewards, as you arrive.

There will be dedicated sections for:

  • Tents
  • Car Parking
  • Motorhomes/caravans/live-in vehicles

The camp sites have toilets, ELSAN waste disposal, drinkng water supplies and 24/7 security.

For safety reasons, to avoid the risk of vehicles driving between tents, the cars will be parked in a separate car park next door to the tents area.

The Camping tickets are PER PERSON wishing to camp, and allow camping for the Saturday of each weekend only. Camping tickets are per person for tents and per vehicle for live-in vehicle permits. Every person MUST have a music entry ticket.

  • TENTS CAMPING for camping in a tent with an accompanying vehicle.
  • LIVE-IN VEHICLE CAMPING for camping in a motorhome, caravan or camper van.

The camp site will open at 9am on each Saturday of the Festival Days and will close at 2pm on the Sunday of the day after each of the Festivals (Sunday 14th July 2024 for Kubix Festival and Sunday 21st July 2024 for Monument Festival).

The camp sites are filled sequentially on arrival, so if you’d like to pitch up next to friends, please arrive together.

Tents and accompanying vehicles, for safety reasons, are in separate areas of each camp site to motorhomes and caravans. Campers are able to socialise with friends in any other areas of the camp site.

The bar accepts cash and card and the majority of food traders also accept card payments.
