Kubix Festival
Herrington Country Park
Sunderland
Tyne & Wear
DH4 7EL
Kubix Festival began as an effort by a group of local promoters to delivery 1st class quality entertainment by sensational recording artists, at a price that won’t hurt your pocket! We’re fans ourselves and want to see live music remain as accessible as possible to all fans, which is why we keep our prices so reasonable for such brilliant line-ups! 2021's no different and will be bigger, better but still fantastic value.
After a brilliant 2019 we're back for a rescheduled third year in 2021 and we've got an even better event planned, as we're busy working on lots of improvements to make 2021's Kubix, the best festival possible.
There will be double the number of bars, with one at each side of the arena and the funfair will be further away from the stages and will be kept silent at all times - playing NO annoying funfair music!
Parking is FREE and available within Herrington Country Park. On your arrival, our Stewards will direct you to the appropriate parking area (VIP Guests will have access to a separate parking area even closer to the event).
Shuttle bus services will be improved next year with more buses delivering you to the door of the event. A small charge will be made to cover the costs of this service, but again, we’ve kept it to an absolute minimum!
Also, new for 2021 will be a bigger second stage in a huge big top which will now be known as our Alternative Stage, giving you even more choice. It will have a few surprises each day with bands, DJs and artists you've maybe never seen, but now's your chance.
Plus, new for 2021 is a camping option. We'll be running a dedicated camp site next door to the music arena with Weekend Camping tickets offering you the chance to stay and party and not worry about how to get home at night!
It's all here for you - Kubix is here to stay!
Each attendee can bring a small bottle of water or soft drink up to 500ml, if it remains sealed as bought. Free drinking water will be available at points throughout the festival, so you can bring an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle to the event for water refills. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event. Any person with specific dietary requirements can inform us in advance and where suitable options aren’t available on site, we will give dispensation to bring suitable food to the event. Personal picnics are also permitted into the event, upon arrival, (no large rucksacks or bags, metal/glass utensils or cool boxes, for safety and security reasons) but further take away food cannot be brought in during the event. We will have a wide choice of caterers who will be very reasonably priced.
Certainly! Kubix Festival is a family friendly event and children of all ages are welcome! Junior tickets allow access, at a reduced price, for children aged 15 and under. Under 18s are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a responsible Adult over the age of 21. Children 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket.
Kubix Festival's 2021 VIP option is being arranged by a new team of independent hospitality experts, to ensure the very best VIP experience possible, with a host of further changes and improvements implemented, to make our VIP experience the very best it can be. For 2021 there will be:

For 2021 we're doubling the number of bars with a huge main bar at both sides of the music arena and specialist separate real ale, premium and can bars. The bars will open on Friday @ 5.00 pm and Saturday @ 12.00 noon and will close shortly before the music ends on each night.
CHALLENGE 25
Kubix Festival operates a strict Challenge 25 policy. If you’re lucky enough to look younger than you are, please remember to bring ID and don’t be offended if our staff ask to verify your age.
We've decided to increase the number of caterers for 2021 so there will be a much greater variety of British and World foods available at Kubix to ensure there is something available for everyone.
We will also be working to ensure that there are Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-free choices available. More details about these options will appear on this site in the next few months.
Not all dishes served by caterers will be suitable for specific dietary requirements, so please check to see what options are available.
The gates to the event will open at 3.00pm on the Friday and 10.30am on the Saturday. Shuttle bus pick up times will ensure you arrive each day well before the music starts and they will return to the same pick up/drop off points after the music finishes each night. Car Parks will open 30 mins before the gate opening times.
The Event will finish around 10.45pm on each day and shuttle buses will wait until everyone who’s booked a bus ticket has boarded for the return trip.

It is very important to the organisers, that we ensure that the event is accessible to everyone, and all aspects are being reviewed to make improvements in 2019. This includes the availability of accessible parking, toilets, including disabled toilets, and designing the site so that it utilises hard standing routes, to make the event as accessible as possible for wheelchair users
There will also be a dedicated viewing area for wheelchair users to view the event, though it does have a capacity and will be first come first served to wheelchair users and their companions. Any person with additional needs who requires a free ticket for a carer or assistant, can email Kubix Festival via our Contact Page or at info@kubixfestival.co.uk where we will make provision for this directly.
Kubix Festival aims to be much more than just the live music and there will be various other activities within the event, including fairground rides, children's entertainment, novelty attractions and a variety of traders exhibiting items for sale along the theme of the event.
For 2020 we have agreed that all funfair rides will play NO music at any time to ensure only the brilliant live music from the bands on each stage can be heard.

Yes, you can. Once you have entered the event, you can leave any time you wish and re-enter by showing your wristband, which you will be given. There will, however, be a last entry time to the event of 8pm on each day, after which time you will not be able to re-enter the event. This is to allow us to ensure that as much attention as possible to paid to the running of the event at its busiest times and the site can be made ready for the exit of all of the attendees in a safe manner.
We’re fans as much as you are and know the importance of the basics at these events. For this reason, for 2019 we're making sure that not only do we have even more toilets available at the event, but that we also have a team of cleaners to ensure that the toilets remain clean and stocked throughout the day. If event toilets really aren’t your thing, check out our VIP packages to be released in November, who have access to luxury trailer style toilets throughout the weekend.
Each attendee can bring a small bottle of water or soft drink up to 500ml, if it remains sealed as bought. Free drinking water will definitely be available throughout the festival, so you can bring an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle to the event for water refills. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event. Any person with specific dietary requirements can inform us in advance and where suitable options aren’t available on site, we will give dispensation to bring suitable food to the event. Personal picnics are also permitted into the event, upon arrival, (no large rucksacks, metal/glass utensils or cool boxes, for safety and security reasons) but further take away food cannot be brought in during the event. We will have a wide choice of caterers who will be very reasonably priced.
Our fully licensed bars will stock a variety of draughts including lager, beer and ciders plus a range of real ales. We also serve spirits (premium brands), cocktails and a variety of other drinks. Hot drinks including barista style coffee are also available. Milkshakes (it’s summer!) are also available on site.
We are doubling the number of licensed bars for 2020.
You can expect a great variety of cuisine, such as pizza, burgers, hot dogs, curry, noodles, jacket potatoes, fish and chips, wraps and much more, plus all the sweet things you can think of from ice cream to milk shakes, all at very reasonable prices.
We've decided to increase the number of caterers for 2020 so there will be a much greater variety of British and World foods available at Kubix to ensure there is something available for everyone.
We will also be working to ensure that there are Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-free choices available. More details about these options will appear on this site in the next few months.
Not all dishes served by caterers will be suitable for specific dietary requirements, so please check to see what options are available.
We provide a limited amount of seating and tables around the bar area, but cannot provide enough for everyone. If you would like to bring your own folding chairs or blankets, please feel free. There will, however, be an area immediately in front of the stage which in 2020 will be marked as standing only and no chairs / blankets will be permitted in that area for safety reasons.
There is no ATM facility on the festival site but all the bars will accept credit and debit cards, including contactless.
Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we are unable to allow dogs onto the Festival site, except for guide or assistance dogs, who will be permitted.
